Flour less Keto pizza

Yes, you heard me correctly! I tried out flour less keto pizza (not cauliflower) so won’t have to.

It’s been 6 months that I’ve been on keto, so far 7 kgs lost ( 15 lbs ). I struggled with keto for the first 2 months, at one point I had had enough of the dreaded almond bread. P.s. the almond bread that I had was not made of almond flour, it was ground up almonds (I’ll include the recipe for some other time). I made up my mind to go on a keto diet and I was adamant to follow through. So I searched up some affordable keto recipes and this is what I found

Just last week I came across this lovely lady’s channel, all the ingredients mentioned on this video are very easy to find, for once i can have something keto without cauliflower.

The best part was the main ingredient used, cottage cheese (paneer)! I love cottage cheese (paneer), my day is even better when I eat some palak (spinach) paneer or butter paneer.

The only thing I did different with this recipe is that I switched the tomato sauce for seschwuan sauce, nothing different just out of convenience. I wish my frying pan was bigger so I could cook the entire thing.

Tip:- try making the pizza all at once, the dough smells funky the next day, even when refridgerated.

I love this recipe, budget friendly keto can be tricky, and you know how expensive almond flour can be. I’m glad I came across her channel. I was honestly fed up to the point that I wanted to give up, having the same thing day in and out can be sedentary. Maybe for my next post I can add some keto channels that I watch on YouTube.

I’m using free WordPress plan which is why I’m unable to present my posts the way I want, apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused and thank you for reading my random rambles.

6 Things to carry in your bag

Personally I feel every female should carry these six things in their bags. Not only are they convenient but they make your and the lives of others around you much easier.

I love bonding with my friends and sisters over what we each carry in our bags. Usually my brothers or male friends have these in their car, safe to say we all like being prepared.

To all my females, I’ve made a list of 6 things to carry in your bag.

Sanitary pads

I cannot stress this enough! This is one of the most important things a girl should have in her bag. Doesn’t even matter if you’re on it or not. I love helping out another female, wether I know her personal or I’ve just met her.

Power bank

I came to understand the uses of a power bank during my 3rd year in college. I was a part of the student council and most days I stayed back till 7-8 pm in college. Even when I started working, or traveling my power bank saved my ass more than a few times.

It’s so easy to take electricity for granted but it isn’t till we’re in an Uber and your phone’s shuts off. Why? Because we were too busy planning out our Pinterest board.

Pen and note book

This one is easy. As a writer, personally, I was advised to carry a notebook and a pen. Having a pen on you all times is not only convenient, you need to write down an address?, hey look what I have, a pen and a notebook! Mom tells me to bring some stuff, can’t remember? Ohh look a pen and note book.

Suddenly going to the hospital, need to sign some papers, oh look, here I am, helping out with a pen lol. I’m sure you get the point. It only makes your life easier.

Antibacterial wipes

Living in a hot and humid city and there is literally no point in putting on a full face, antibacterial wipes have been a lifesaver. I use to clean my hands after a snack or wiping off a drink I spilled. Mainly I’ve used it to wipe off my sweat, even my feet and shoes at time. As I mentioned before, I live in a humid city, so when when wet things like sweat are left on me without drying or atleast cleaning it off my skin, things get funky. Its uses are multi-purpose and it’s a great item to carry in your bag.

Note: there is a difference between antibacterial wipes and disinfectants.

First aid

I’m the kind of girl who catches cold very easily. The wind just has to look at me funny and bam nose block. I carry some cold medicine, head ache meds and some band aids. This idea was given to me by my brother. He literally has everything in his car, he could even live in it. The purpose to having first aid with you is to hold it together long enough to get the proper treatment from your doctor.

Note : I do not condone self medication. If you are seriously injured or are feeling any covid symptoms, immediately contact a doctor.

By this I mean, Bobby pins, hair ties, safety pins. Specially safety pins, I had my pants rip open multiple times. At home it looked fine, it felt fine… It was fine. I didn’t even know it ripped till I sat to pee. It’s a good thing I have sisters, since that night I never leave the house without safety pins.

These are the 6 must have items in your bag, I hope they were helpful. Thanks for listening to my random rambles.

Horror movies that butter my bread.

I am a huge horror movie fan, and over the years I’ve come to learn more about myself through horror movies. Here are some horror movies that butter my bread.

I honestly prefer movies that stay in my mind well after I’ve watched them. I like the endings that creep up on you. Out of the blue, when your gaurd is down, so when it hits you, you need to sit down to soak it all up.

The wailing

A South Korean movie directed by Na Hong-Jin and released in 2016. This movie follows the life of a cop. His village is plagued by an unknown sickness that makes the host kill it’s own family. What started as a mystery soon turns supernatural when his family becomes affected. This is one of my favourite horror movies. This is a well paced movie, not too rushed but shows us enough to keep us hooked in.

Session 9

Another favourite of mine, this movie was released in 2001, directed by Brad Anderson. The story follows a crew hired to clean out the abestos in a facility previously used to house the insane. Appearantly the movie is shot in a real insane asylum “Denver state hospital”. Even though this movie is old, its still up to par with new releases of today.

Haunting of hill House

Ever horror movie fan has watched this t.v series, and if you haven’t, I recommend that you do. Released in 2018 and directed by Mike Flanagan. This too is slow paced, it does not get very exciting untill the ending, but it does give us a chance to know the characters and their background a little better. In the end I found myself rooting for the family. Its a beautiful family drama/horror series.

Lake mungo

Released in 2008, directed by Joel Anderson. It is shot in a documentary style, interviewing a family on the death of their daughter who died by drowning in the lake. The family believes they are being haunted by their deceased daughter. Even though it was a slow paced movie, the revelations in the end made me feel distressed and question my own existence.

Is there a life after death?

These are 4 movies that thoroughly buttered my bread. I found myself doubting the facts that were presented and the realisation of it all after a few days. These movies/ series haunted me days after I had watched them. If you feel uneasy and feeling out of place, have some bread, because you’re not you when you’re hungry.

Cosrx advance snail 96 mucin power essence

I wanted to give a shout out to one of my favourite products from Cosrx Snail essence that saved my dry ass skin from peeling off of my face.

I tried the Cosrx advance snail 96 mucin power essence, so won’t have to.

Now I know why Cosrx is considered to be a cult favourite. I was a little hesitant on trying their products, as i was new into k beauty and had no idea what I was doing.

After months of research, I deemed this product suitable for my crusty face. And boy did it deliver!

Skin type: oily/ dry combination.
Skin issues: eczema and dermatitis.
Price point: 1360 INR
Site: maccaron

Claims the product claims to help skin lose less moisture while keeping the skin smooth and healthy.

On the cosrx website, it claims to be cruelty free i.e no animal testing done on their products.

Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine

It comes in a slim 100ml sturdy bottle, it fits in my travel bag but takes up quite a bit of space. The thing i like the most is the pump function, it makes using the product much more hygenic, i hate using the little plastic scoop or my fingers to take out the product.

my skin loved this product. Living in a hot and humid city makes it difficult to purchase a lot of amazing products, using fermented or wet products that our skin cant absorb leads to fungal acne and other fungal issues.

I love how well this product absorbed into my skin.

the product was gel like in its consistency, did not feel heavy on my skin. Sometimes I just wear essence under my sunscreen. I did feel the smoothening effect and throughout the day no moisture loss. I have only been using it during the summer so… this product better step up during winter.

After 8 months of using this product I found that it helped reduce the bumps on my forehead. Not much to make a difference just enough to be noticed. I contribute the majority of my skins health to my diet because skin care products can only do so much.

Something weird happen

Something weird happened on week 3 , as I slowly introduced the product into my routine, I started mixing it with my other active ingredients such as… Klaires vitamin c serum. I notices tiny rubber balls on my skin, i thought it was my skin, i panicked and washed it off my face with water.
Turns out using the vitamin c and essence together creates these tiny rubber balls. I read posts on some forums that experienced the same thing.

So a word of advice do not use Cosrx essence and klairs vitamin c serum together.

My final thoughts

This was a good product. I don’t regret purchasing this, it did its job, nothing more nothing less, though for the money I paid I wish it did a little bit more but I’m not mad at it.

I hope you liked my review of the Cosrx advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and thanks for listening in on my random ramblings.

Mediheal- NMF aquaring ampoule sheet mask review ( unbiased )

So listen 👂, I get that MEDIHEAL aquaring sheet masks are in high demand due to their affiliation with bts. And if you don’t know who they are don’t worry, our skin doesn’t know them neither does oppa .

Today I’ll be reviewing MEDIHEAL aquaring ampoule sheet mask (blue packaging) and this is my unbiased review. Here I try and review products so you won’t have to.

I bought these masks during covid lockdown, when it lockdown restrictions were more relaxed. Pre lockdown i prowled sites like yesstyle, beauty barn and soko glam to name a few to find these masks. I saw it, I liked, I wanted it, I don’t got it…. In short ya girl broke.

I searched alternatives for mediheal sheet mask for 4 months before finding the real deal but much much cheaper. ( Although some argued against it)

I bought them from a website called maccaron, the website was very easy to use, they host limited but reputable brands. I bought my cosrx essence from the website pre covid, it takes longer than other websites in terms of delivery but when it arrived, it was in perfect condition.

I bought five Mediheal- NMF aquaring ampoule sheet masks and one in  tea tree care solution.

skin type: sensitive, oily/dry combination skin issues: eczema and dermatitis

price point : 185 INR bought from maccaron.
1402 INR for a pack of 10 from yesstyle
2567 INR from amazon India

These are the websites i used to source and compare price for this particular sheet mask. There are other local websites that offer mediheal sheet masks as well but i have not included them in this post since i have never purchased from them.

Claims to hydrate and tighten skin. The genuine MEDIHEAL mask sheet shows the MEDIHEAL logo when dried and ready to be removed.
Apply it for 10-20 minutes and pat gently to absord the essence.

list of major ingredients
Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-26, Propylene Glycol, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Water, Fomes Officinalis (Mushroom) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Betaine, Allantoin, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Extract, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Trehalose, Ceramide 3, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Fragrance, Lysine, Histidine, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Threonine, Serine, Glutamic Acid, Prolin, Glycine, Alanine, Valine, Methionine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Tyrosine, Phenylalanine, Cysteine

First impression
There was a struggle to untangle the masks from itself, probably because it had a butt load of ampoule in the packet, to the point that it was dripping when i applied it on my face. It was a little sticky and greasy.. the ampoule took a few hours to completely dry ( i removed the mask after 20 minutes)
warning : lie down while wearing the masks or it will slip off.
One perk to the well of ampoule is, well, free ampoule for the entire body.
It felt heavy, like there was a slight weight to the sheet masks but not uncomfortable. I didnt find much of an issue with the masks, it was soft and the material didnt feel cheap.
It did not irritate my skin so over all im very happy. Although the long term effects of using the mask are unknown, i advice you to contact a doctor immediately if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Another impression
Thank god for siblings… cause i have 6 of them. I managed to rope my eldest into trying it with me. Once she had it on, she plopped herself on the couch for a much needed TLC.

skin type: dry / normal
Skin issues (skin) : none ( to my knowledge )
Her skin ate up that ampoule goodness. She too found it greasy but her skin, from my perspective, seemed less greasy than mine. She had that coveted dewy look on her skin. However the real surprise for us came the next morning when we washed our faces.

Our skin felt… hydrated, like drinking a tall glass of water. This was some next level stuff. The effects lasted long enough till i washed my face the following night. We looked like somebody injected us with collagen injections. Plump, hydrated and soft … did not feel any tightening effect.

Does it work?
Yes! It does. I absolutely adore these masks. For the price of one, seeing how well it worked on us, it was definitely worth the wait, i love the after effects, notice i said after because it really does take time for it to soak in.

Ending thoughts
Personally, this mask is perfect for winter months or for somebody who lives in a COLD/DRY climate. Living in one of the hottest and most humid cities in India i should have tried them during the winter season. Honestly this is a winter sheet mask. It was easy to purchase and i would definitely recommend it to the right person.

This has been fun for me to review and i hope this was informative for you. Thank you for listening in on my random ramblings.

Im from – rice toner ( unbiased review)

Im from – rice toner ( unbiased review)

So listen 👂, nobody likes to buy a sponsored product, most of them only speak on how good the product looks without delving into the nitty gritty.

welcome to my blog, here I try products for you so you won’t have to.

I don’t care much for the aesthetics of the product as much as the performance. I do care about packaging, price point, performance and uses. This is my unbiased review of I’m from – rice toner.

This product was made in Korea by a company called I’m from. when I first received the product, it felt heavy, not at all flimsy, like a plastic container.

Instructions are the back, available in English as well. It is meant to be used like any other toner.

I bought this product from an online shopping website called yesstyle. The website itself is very easy to navigate. ( I will talk about it some other day)

skin type : oily/ dry combination . Skin issue : eczema and dermatitis. Price : 2129 INR. ( I bought it at 1000 INR, during yesstyle winter sale)

Looks : as mentioned above, it arrived in a sturdy glass bottle. Ive dropped it only once while applying it but it did not break, neither was there a single scratch, which makes me think it’s not entirely glass, but I’ve dropped it only once so it may not have been much of an impact.

size: it’s fairly large, but smaller than a one litre water bottle. It contains 150ml of product which lasted me two winters, yes I only use this during winter months. If you travel a lot, you might want to transfer the product in a smaller travel size bottle.

the product : I cannot say enough about this product, hands down the best toner I’ve used for winter months ( would not recommend layering). The reason I only use this for winters is because it tends to be quite oily for a yearly use. During winters my skin gets extremely dry ( I suffer from eczema)

For such an oily product it’s wasn’t sticky neither did it feel heavy on the skin. Takes a while for it to dry up. The product has a watery consistency. Looks like milk, super hydrating. It claims to brighten and smoothen wrinkles, but I haven’t seen any of those effects, either way it’s a great winter toner.

Personal opinion : It’s a Great product but not a must have. There are many other affordable products. If you want to purchase it, and you have the cash to buy it, then I wouldn’t stop you, it’s an amazing product. Since I currently live in a hot humid country I don’t use it as often as I use my other products. As for myself, I love it a lot but I do not see it being sustainable for my wallet lol.

This was my unbiased review of the product “I’m from-rice toner” and thanks for listening in on my random ramblings .
